professional experience

My journey started at TrintyLaban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, graduating with a First Class Honours in Dance Theatre, followed by a Master's Degree in Dance Performance with Transitions Dance Company. 

During my professional career as a Performer, I worked with choreographers and companies by the likes of Martin Nachbar, Shangchi-Sun, Summit Dance Theatre, Luke Brown, and C-12 Dance Theatre, touring globally.

Throughout this time, I began to find my love for teaching and working with various institutions as well as for companies which led me to BalletBoyz where I spent 10 years as their Rehearsal Director. I was grateful enough to work with world-renowned choreographers such as, Javier De Frutos, Ivan Perez, Russel Maliphant, Maxine Doyle, Xie Xin, Christopher Wheeldon, Craig Revel-Horwood, Thick and Tight, Vidya Patel, Edd Arnold and Holly Blakey. Working with Michael Nunn and Billy Trevitt for this time has been truly insightful and has made me the Rehearsal Director I am today.

I have since held various Rehearsal Director Roles for National Dance Company Wales, Alexander Whitley, Jack Philp, and Akram Khan, for their latest production of ‘Jungle Book Reimagined.’

Rehearsing the production of ‘Jungle Book Reimagined’ UK and Internationally

Rehearsal Director, BalletBoyz. (NOV 2015- November 2023). 

Responsible for the rehearsals of all choreography within the productions, as well as providing professional daily class and leading professional auditions and contribution to the selection of new company dancers. In addition, supporting and assisting the work of the Artistic Directors Michael Nunn and William Trevitt. During my time with BalletBoyz I have worked on the following productions: The Talent (US tour 2015), Young Men (Feature film 2015), Life (UK, Europe, Asia and US tour 2016/17), Fourteen Days (UK 2017/18), Them/Us (2019) and our latest production ‘Deluxe’ (February 2020-2022).’England on Fire’ (2023) Choreographers I have worked alongside include: Holly Blakey, Vidya Patel, Shelley Maxwell, Thick &Tight, Maxine Doyle, Xie Xin, Russel Maliphant, Ivan Perez, Javier du Frutos, Christopher Wheeldon, Pontus Lindberg and Craig Revel Horwood.

Rehearsal Director, Alexander Whitley(December 2022)

Collaborating on his current new creation of ‘Rite of Spring’, working as his choreographic assistant and Rehearsal Director. 

Dance Captain, Commonwealth Games Ceremonies. (Birmingham 2022)

One of ten Dance Captains leading 1,800 participants through the opening ceremony under the direction of Ibqual Khan and choreographer Corey Baker. During this time I worked physically, administratively as well as working within team organisation.

Rehearsal Director, National Dance Company Wales. (August 2020-December2021)

Full-time Rehearsal Director, based in Cardiff, responsible for rehearsing, re-working and supporting activity of the Dance Team. Organise and execute weekly schedules, book class teachers and line manage 10 members of the company. Working in theatres, outdoor spaces, digital platforms and site- specific locations. Touring from small to large scale venues staging new and existing productions. Choreographers supported NDCWales: Caroline Finn, Thomas Carsley, Fernando Melo and Faye Tan.

Rehearsal Director for ‘EMMA’ feature film. (March-July 2019) 

Assisting Michael Nunn as rehearsal director on the new Jane Austin Film ‘Emma’ directed by Autumn Wilde.

Rehearsal and Choreographic Assistant for the Royal Ballet film made by Michael Nunn and William Trevitt. (July 2019) Working in Budapest on a film set to support the making of the film, responsible for specific scenes and overseeing the extras movement on set.

Years and Years, Glastonbury Festival (June 2019)  creating and re working choreography for Years and Years set for Glastonbury with the BalletBoyz dancers.
